He weighed 8lbs 3oz and is absolutely adorable. I can't wait to get up to Portland to meet my new little nephew!

We did it - White Rock 2010!
Yes, we completed the Dallas White Rock half marathon! We ran it in 1 hour 41 minutes which was 3 minutes faster than last year. I was pretty excited about our time - I didn't see how we were going to beat our time from last year but somehow we did it! We definitely ran pretty fast the entire race - our average pace was 7:48. Sanders and I definitely balance each other out and push each other. I always start off fast in the beginning and he ends the race fast. He definitely had to push me this time - I was dying by the last mile!
The race weather started off REALLY cold and windy but after a few miles it felt great. The cold weather definitely makes it easier to run. Our pre-race regiment was a little hectic considering we couldn't find a Starbucks that was open at 6:30am on a Sunday morning, then we got stuck in crazy traffic on the way to the race, Sanders realized he left his race bib at the hotel (thankfully he had his chip) and once we got there had to totally cut in line to use the bathroom before the race. Every bathroom line was 20 people deep. Somehow we made it to the start line just minutes before the race started!
There was a great group from Shreveport running the race - Alexis & Rob, Neal and Stephen, Holly and Lance, Jennifer Doege, Ronda Trawick, Nora and Candy Watkins were just some of the ones I knew running the race. Everyone finished great!
It was a huge accomplishment. Now, I'm taking the week off from running to rest my weary legs and figure out what I am going to do next!
Here are some pics from the race that I took on my Iphone:

Picking out our Christmas Tree
We are on the ball this year with our Christmas Tree. We went to Akin's on Saturday morning and picked our tree out!!! We knew we had to get there early before all the good trees were gone. They also had Santa Claus there for the kids to see. Sanders ran right up to Santa and told him he wanted some "cars" - I think that is what he has asked for the past 3 years but what can I say the boy loves cars! Mae was scared of Santa but not terrified like she was last year. She didn't want to get near him so her sweet brother told Santa what she wanted - "pink Barbie car, pink shoes and princess dresses". She finally sat in Bubby's lap for a picture with Santa. Hopefully she'll warm up to him by the time Christmas gets here!
Here are some pictures . . .

Sanders' Thanksgiving Program at school
Sanders had his Thanksgiving program at school today. It was adorable. The K-4 classes dressed up as indians with their homemade headbands, necklaces and indian shirts. They sang a few songs for everyone and then we ate lunch together as a family. It was really cute!
Here are some pictures . . .

Our little artist
I had to show off a few of Little Sanders pictures that he painted at school. Mrs. Caraway says he LOVES doing artwork and takes it very seriously! I've been very impressed with what he has brought home. Who knows - we may have a little artist on our hands!
I couldn't leave Mae out. Here is one of her little drawings from school. It is a drawing of Copper - so cute! I know he'd be very flattered.

Sanders and Mae's 1st LSU game
We took Mae and Sanders to their 1st LSU game this weekend. It was the LSU vs. UL Monroe so we knew it would be a good "low key" game to take them to. Mae didn't actually get to go to the game this time but she had so much fun tailgating. She had on her cheerleading outfit and tiger ears and was absolutely adorable! Sarah came with us and took her home right before the game started. We sat with Sarah Katherine and David at the game so Sanders and Hannah had a blast together. We only stayed at halftime but it was perfect because they were getting a little restless and we were winning 23 to 0. We stayed just long enough for them to get a taste of tiger stadium! Maybe next year they'll last the entire game.
Here are a few pictures from the weekend. My camera died after the 3rd picture so this is a combo of pictures from SK, my Iphone and Sarah's camera.

The next morning we took the kids to see "Mike" at his sanctuary. He was pacing all around which the kids loved!

After visiting with "Mike" we headed to the Chimes for brunch and met Judson and Shelby up there. She was adorable!! Sanders and Mae both loved playing with her. It was a great finale to the weekend!
