a fun day at Sci-Port

Today we went to Sci-Port to the "Itty Bitty Scientist" workshop to meet Cameron and Holly. We haven't been to Sci-Port in forever but there are so many fun things for the kids do there. The workshop was cute. They brought out a guinea pig, a turtle and a gekko for the kids to pet. Little Sanders wasn't too crazy about petting any of them. They had also had lots of art and craft supplies for the kids to make their own animal. Sanders and Cameron had fun doing this! After the craft, we let the kids play for a little while around the museum and then headed to Lila's for lunch.

Tonight we went to the club for Mexican buffet night. We got there at 5:45 and were walking out the door by 6:20pm. It was record timing for going out to dinner but it was great. It was just enough time for the kids to eat and to get out of there before they got wild. We went for a treat at TCBY after dinner and I got my favorite - chocolate and peanut butter shiver with peanut butter cups. Mae had her "pink" icecream and Sanders had his usual pink sprinkle cookie. That was our second trip to TCBY in one week. We are becoming regulars.

We are off to the Great Wolf Lodge tomorrow with the Reagans, Tuckers and Kendricks. Little Sanders has been counting down the days until this trip. Tonight he said "mommy I am so excited about going to the water park tomorrow". I think Great Wolf had a bigger impact on him than Disney World did. The kids are going are going to have so much fun together (as will the mommies). I'm sure I'll have lots of picture to share when we get back.

TCBY and the eaten shoes

Little Sanders was stuck with me again today. We went to the gym this morning and then he went to Tiggers whiled I had my tennis lesson. It started pouring down rain towards the end of our lesson so we had to cut it short. It was probably a good thing since I was a little rusty with the racket today! We came home to eat lunch and he watched Scooby Doo for the 100th time. He is definitely obsessed with it lately. After being home for a little while I saw the shoe basket on the stairs was dumped over and then I noticed the top of Mae's sandal was completely gone - well except for the buckle! So I looked for the other shoe and found it in the den in the same condition! Copper had eaten both of Mae's sandals!!! I know he is bored around the house all day but he is getting pretty desperate. Little Sanders was so cute - he said "Mommy did Copper eat the shoe so he could go be with Daly". It was so sweet and innocent. It amazes me how he still remembers Daly even after a year has gone by. I had to reassure him that Copper would not get sick like Daly did even though I'm sure the shoe parts are going to come out at some point. Hopefully not in the house. I don't know what i am going to do with him sometimes! Guess we will be going to buy a new pair of sandals tomorrow.

Here is a picture of the shoes. Glad he didn't eat the buckles

When we picked up Mae from school we went to TCBY for a little afternoon snack. Sanders got a pink sprinkle cookie and Mae got a rainbow ice cream that had to be the messiest one they had. She had to have the "pink" icecream! They were hyped up on sugar almost immediately so I was crazy enough to take them to the grocery store (in the rain) to get a few things. Thankfully I survived! We came home and cooked spaghetti and waited for daddy to get home. I had a quick Junior League board meeting tonight so he had to feed and bathe the kids. It was a busy day as usual at the Graf house!

Toy Story 3, a trip to the grocery store and goofing around the house

Little Sanders does not have camp this week so it looks like it will be "camp mommy" all week! We had not seen Toy Story 3 yet so I thought that would be a fun activity for the day. Mae was at Renzi so it was a perfect outing for him and I to do together. The movie was adorable! Sanders giggles throughout the entire movie (of course while eating his popcorn). I really enjoyed it too. After the movie, we ran a few errands including a trip to the grocery store. He was in charge of the shopping cart which was great except he got a little wild at times. Thankfully he didn't run over anyone. After the grocery store, we went to pick up Mae and headed home. It was a yucky afternoon so we stayed inside and played. I even made pork chops for dinner which doesn't happen very often. After dinner, we baked chocolate chip cookies which the kids and myself thoroughly enjoyed!! Mae even loved the cookie dough even though that is probably not a good habit to start. It was a great Monday!

Sadie and Mae

I took some really good pictures of Mae and Sadie at Alexis' shower. They were having a blast together and showing off for all the girls. They are going to be trouble together one day!
