New Years Eve at the lake

We spent New Year's Eve at the lake this year. The Coxes, Reagans, Tuckers, and the Nichols joined us - we had 8 kids and 10 adults! It was a fun night. We cooked hot dogs for the kids and then steaks and potatoes for the adults. The kids gave us a great firework show (even though Mae was not too fond of it - she stayed inside the whole time) . The kids all ran around together and had a blast. I was amazed at well they got along! We all made it until midnight - we were very proud of ourselves! We even continued past midnight with a late night game of Taboo! The best moment was Brad Nichols trying to "act out" the olympics. He didn't realize it wasn't a charades game but it gave us all a good life! The girls ultimately ended up winning - so the boys had to drink down their sorrows until 3am while the girls were smart and in bed by 1am! We were feeling much better than they were the next morning.

It was a great way to start off the new year - great friends, good food, and good times!
