Farmer's Market, Water Balloons and Swimming Lessons . . .

Today was a busy day! I had my workout at 9am with LaMark and then tennis lessons at 11:30. It was a HOT day on the tennis courts but still alot of fun! I've really be surprised how much I've enjoyed tennis. I'm still not ready for a match anytime soon - I still can't even serve the ball or keep score but hopefully that will come with time and lots of practice!

Today was a much better day for little Sanders! He had a great time at camp and came home happy! As soon as he got home we loaded up and picked up Mae and headed for the Famer's Market. It was HOT but we had a fun time getting blueberries, blackberries, peaches, tomatoes and corn. It is such a neat little thing they do in Shreveport. They have vendors selling everything from beef to plants to baked goods to produce. They even had a little band playing. The kids had fun too!

Here they are all ready in the stroller with their shades on!

After the Farmer's Market, we got home and Little Sanders was begging to fill up the water balloons so we put his bathing suit on and put this water balloon contraption on the water faucet. It worked great and Little Sanders loved it! It was a great activity that kept him busy. I still had to tie the water balloons but it might take him awhile to figure that out. Mae had to help too! She would hand him the balloons. You have to find a job for each of them or it ends up in a fight!

After the water balloon activity, we loaded up AGAIN and headed to the club for Sanders' first swimming lessons. He did pretty good. He has definitely made a lot of progress since the summer started. Ever since he got the goggles he is not afraid to put his head in the water anymore. That was a huge accomplishment! I am hoping he'll be swimming by the end of the summer! We'll see . . .

Mae had fun swimming with daddy! She is really getting brave in the water! She loves "swiming with daddy"

Overall it was a great day!! The kids were happy so mommy and daddy were happy!
