A fun-filled day a the Boardwalk!

Today I took Sanders and Mae to see the free movie at the Boardwalk which was "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs". This was Mae's first movie so I was anxious to see how she would do. She started off great - watching the movie eating her popcorn but she got a little restless at the end. She wanted to stand up in the seat and look at the people behind her. She didn't understand that she needed to be quiet either - it was cute she kept saying "that looks like my mommy" about the girl in the movie. Thankfully it was a "free" movie and there weren't too many people around us so it was a good place to start. She may need a few more months before she is really ready for the "big screen".

After the movie, I decided to take Sanders to go do the "water balls". He had done them with Paige and Grant and had a blast so I had to see these things for myself! They were fun - you actually climb into the ball and they blow it up with a blower and seal it up. Then the kids can roll around on the water in the ball. It is a really neat concept. Mae was not too fond of the "water balls" so she just watched.

After the "water balls" we moved on to the jumper - which Sanders loves!! He is a pro now as many times as he has done it. He is fearless when it comes to this kind of stuff. He even had the worker help him do a back flip!

We should have quit there but we decided to go do the carousel. We rode the trolley down there and they had a blast on the ride but it all fell apart on the LONG way back to the car. It was over 100 degrees and Mae wanted me to carry her and Sanders cried b/c he was too hot to walk. There was no way I could carry both of them with all the stuff we had so I begged him to make it to the car. Thankfully he did but we were all soaked with sweat by then. We were all worn out. It was SOOO hot!!!

We turned up the air on full blast and headed to Sanders' office to join him for lunch at Cascio's. The kids were wild at Sanders' office. They climbing into the patient chairs and trying on the rubber gloves. After lunch we loaded up in the car and headed home so everyone could take naps! Sanders was not happy about the nap - he actually threw a tantrum in Cascio's about it but when he does that you can tell he really needs a nap - and he definitely did!

After naps, we played around the house and went to Pie Works for dinner with the Kendrick's.

It had definitely been a fun-filled day!!!
